About the company
Dals Learning (Digital Access to Learning Solutions) is a digital publisher specialising in the development and provision of interactive digital content for the CBC curriculum.
Company Overview
The company has identified a significant challenge within the CBC curriculum, While digital literacy is a core competency, the content in physical textbooks is limited and lacks the depth required for the effective acquisition of digital skills. Additionally, many schools are facing shortages of CBC-trained teachers, further hindering implementation. Moreover, STEM practical learning areas and subjects under the CBC curriculum are commonly underperforming across schools in Kenya.
Market Opportunity
There are 30,000 primary schools in Kenya, 20,000 public schools and 10,000 private schools, presenting a vast opportunity for Dals’ offering. Even though Dals Learning content is being accessed by learners in public schools, it is only accessed by 88 private schools out of the 10,000 schools. The Company has only reached 25 active online users out of a population of millions of learners accessing educational materials online.
